◆ STATUS UPDATE

AKO Offline Is Sunsetting.
AKO Reload Is the Replacement.

AKO Offline — the long-running community directory of Army and DoD websites at akoffline.us — is scheduled to sunset in March 2027. AKO Reload was built to ensure soldiers, veterans, and Army families do not lose access to this resource.

What Is AKO Offline?

AKO Offline (akoffline.us) is an independent, community-maintained directory of U.S. Army and Department of Defense websites, created and managed by Roman Antonacci. Since the original Army Knowledge Online (AKO) portal was decommissioned, AKO Offline became the unofficial go-to resource for soldiers trying to locate the correct .mil link for everyday tasks — pay, personnel records, training, healthcare, and more.

For years, "check AKO Offline" was standard advice in formations, on Reddit, and in Facebook groups. It solved a real problem: the Army distributes its digital services across hundreds of separate websites with no central navigation, and those links change regularly.

When Is AKO Offline Shutting Down?

◆ CONFIRMED SUNSET DATEAKO Offline is scheduled to be removed from its hosting provider in March 2027 when its domain expires. Roman Antonacci has stated on the AKO Offline About page that the site will be taken down and traffic redirected.

This means soldiers who have bookmarked akoffline.us or rely on it through unit SOPs will lose access. Given how embedded AKO Offline is in Army digital culture, the gap it leaves will be significant without a maintained alternative in place.
